What Asian Games is
The twentieth Asian Games open in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya on 19 September 2026 and run to 4 October, with around 46 nations and 43 sports.
It is the second-largest multi-sport event after the Olympics, and this edition adds mixed martial arts and esports alongside kabaddi, sepaktakraw and wushu.
