Ramadan 2027 in Saint Petersburg, Russia

Sehri and Iftar in Saint Petersburg

For Saint Petersburg, the evening fast opens at local sunset, shown as 5:22 pm today. The pre-dawn cutoff is calculated separately from the Fajr setting; sunrise is not used as the start of the fast. The page uses Saint Petersburg’s coordinates (59.93, 30.34) and the Europe/Moscow time zone.

Sunrise-to-sunset daylight in Saint Petersburg lasts 9 hours 19 minutes today. Across the June and December solstices that daylight span differs by about 12 hours 57 minutes at this latitude. That helps explain why Ramadan feels very different when the lunar month returns in another season, but it should not be read as the fasting duration because Fajr occurs before sunrise.

Solar noon in Saint Petersburg is 12:42 pm today, about 42 minutes after 12:00 on the local clock. That offset is one reason sunset can look unusually early or late when compared with another city that keeps the same time zone.

For comparison, sunset in Yakutsk is 4:36 pm today, 405 minutes earlier than in Saint Petersburg. Travellers should therefore switch to the timetable for the place where they are actually observing the fast rather than carrying one city’s times across Russia.

This timetable uses the Karachi prayer calculation setting. The calculation notes explain how the site handles Fajr, Isha and unusual daylight conditions, so that general methodology is not repeated on every location page.
