What Super Bowl is
The championship game of the National Football League and the most-watched television broadcast in the United States each year.
Since 2022 it has fallen on the second Sunday in February — the NFL added a seventeenth regular-season game that year, which pushed the whole calendar back a week. The halftime show and the advertising slots draw almost as much attention as the game itself.
